Terrence Osborne became the Chief of
the Winslow Township Fire Department upon his appointment in September
2009.
Mr. Osborne began his fire service career with
the Scranton Fire Department (PA) in 1983 and worked his way to the
position of Deputy Chief in 1996. He left the department in 2008
to become the Emergency Services Chief for the Borough of Chambersburg,
PA. where he oversaw twenty-one career employees and an active volunteer
complement of approximately twenty-five. Chambersburg staffed two
engine companies, one truck company and one Basic Life Support
ambulance.
He is a graduate of the Scranton Preparatory High
School, attended LaSalle University and later graduated magna cum laude
with a B.S. in Fire Science from the University of Maryland, University
College (UMUC). He received a Masters of Science degree in Human
Resources Management from UMUS. He is also a graduate of the
United States Fire Administration's Executive Fire Officer Program and
participated in various fire service and emergency management training.
Mr. Osborne is one of ten children. He has been married for
thirty-one years to the former Deborah Schreiber. Together, they
have five children: Brian, Matthew, Melissa, Julie, and Terry Jr.
